Statement of the Faculty Senate

This Academic Operations Manual contains the University's primary statements on academic procedures and day-to-day operations as authorized by the President or the Board of Trustees. It should be used in conjunction with the Faculty Handbook, the Student Handbook(s), the Handbook of Benefits and Services and the University catalogues. Where differences exist between this Manual and those publications on matters of University governance and faculty rights, student life and student-related responsibilities, academic programs and degree requirements, or University benefits and services, please note that the Faculty, Student, or Benefits Handbooks, or the catalogues take precedence as appropriate.

PLEASE NOTE:

This Academic Operations Manual generally applies to all Teaching Faculty. However, because the various provisions and policies of this Manual and its accompanying Faculty Handbook do not, in many cases, apply to all categories of faculty/academic personnel, each policy has been annotated to indicate the group(s) to which it applies.
